Apart from the shortage of managers and the digitalisation, consider the following situation:
The long-standing accountant asks the Director of Finance for a personal meeting just before Christmas. The first thought that comes to mind: Oh my God, I hope he doesn’t tell me he’s going to resign. If that happens, then we have a real problem in the company. And that’s how it is: If a key employee – and this is someone who is critical to the success of the company – is unexpectedly gone, then this costs a company up to 250,000 euros per year. This does not even include unquantifiable costs (damage to image, dissatisfied customers…).
In this case, everything went well. The colleague wanted to thank his boss for the good and successful cooperation.
